Common Problems with Aadhaar Card:
UIDAI has set up a "grievance redressal system" to deal with the issues of Aadhaar faced by the residents of India, such as wrong information update, the problem in the enrolment process, etc.
The complaints and grievances can be communicated to the client through any of the following ways:
- Voice helpline number: 1800-300-1947
- Email Id: [email protected]
Issues that require the involvement of the nodal agency can be addressed directly on the web portal.
Common grievance queries and their solutions:
Q1. What can be done if UIDAI rejects the application of Aadhaar?
Ans: The reason for rejection will be communicated to the applicant and the registrar so that the applicant addresses the issue before re-applying for Aadhaar.
Q2. What to do if the Aadhaar card doesn't reach the applicant?
Ans: In that case, please get in touch with the UIDAI customer care centre and tell them the enrolment number or login to UIDAI website and check Aadhaar status by filling the required information.
Q3. Are UIDAI online services accessible outside India?
Ans: Yes, the UIDAI can be accessed from anywhere, but some features on the website are restricted based on location such as Aadhaar linking status, SSUP, resident portal, etc.
Q4. What to do if the Aadhaar contains any demographic errors or spelling errors?
Ans: At the time of enrolment, the resident is expected to re-check the data filled in the form before the final submission. If still the errors are not rectified, then the resident needs to visit the enrolment centre within two days after the enrolment.
