Direct Benefit Transfer for LPG or DBTL was introduced by the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas to facilitate the smooth transfer of subsidies to the account of the beneficiary's account. This scheme was introduced in regions where maximum people have enrolled with Aadhar. DBTL, also known as Pratyaksh Hanstantrit Labh (PAHAL) scheme would ensure that the subsidy is provided to the Aadhaar linked bank accounts of the customers. These customers also receive an advance on their account when they book their first subsidized gas cylinder. These subsidies are available for twelve cylinders for a year. Some modified schemes also allow customers who haven't registered with Aadhaar to receive this subsidy. According to a recent government ruling, families with an income of more than Rs. 10 lakhs per year won't be eligible to receive gas subsidies.
How do the Customers Receive the LPG Subsidy?
The customers can receive the subsidy in their bank accounts through two methods. If a customer joins the scheme, they are known as Cash Transfer Complaint. These options are -
Aadhar Number is the only medium of transfer. The Aadhar Number must be linked with the person's bank account and subsequently their LPG Consumer Number so that the consumer can avail the benefits of the subsidy. Consumers can link their Aadhar Number to their LPG Consumer Number through their bank accounts or by simply visiting the official website of LPG.
If the consumer doesn't have an Aadhar number, then they can link their consumer number with their bank account by providing the account information to the LPG Distributor so that the subsidy amount is transferred to the bank account.
How to check the status of enrolment Online?
The consumers can check the status of DTBL Enrolment scheme online by following these steps:
Customers can easily find out their enrolment status through two options
One, they can provide the details of their distributor and the consumer number or Aadhar Number and click on 'Proceed.'
In the second option, the person can provide the consumer number, distributor ID and district and click on 'Proceed.'

What can I do If I Don't Receive the LPG Subsidy in the Bank Account?
DBTL PAHAL ensures that the subsidy amount gets credited directly to their bank accounts. In case you have already applied successfully for the subsidy but have not received it yet in your account until now, then the possible reason behind it could be:
Cylinder was delivered, but subsidy doesn't get credited
It takes 2-3 business days for the subsidy amount to get credited in the account. It is advisable for the consumers to wait patiently for two more days if the amount still has not been credited.
The transaction could also fail due to some reasons while the transfer was being made. This issue can be solved by visiting the bank account of the consumer
The subsidy was transferred, but the bank didn't receive it
The bank must be contacted in such situations
If the cylinder was booked in advance, but the subsidy was not received, it is advisable for the customer to wait for four days for the subsidy advance to get credited in the account
