How to Link PAN Card to OBC Bank Account

It is mandatory for all the earning individuals to own a PAN card. PAN card can be obtained from the Income Tax Department after the submission of required documents in the bank. If you are someone who is opening a new bank account in Oriental Bank of Commerce, you will have to provide the details of your PAN card along with a photocopy of the original PAN card. If you don't own a PAN card, then you can fill form 60/61 to the bank stating the reason why you don't own a PAN card.

Linking of PAN card can be done in a few minutes. You can visit the OBC Home Branch and write a letter addressed to the Branch Manager and submit the PAN updation form in the bank.

  • Visit you OBC Bank Home Branch
  • Ask for PAN card updation form (KYC form) in the bank
  • Fill up the form
  • Attach photocopy of PAN card updation form, self-attested photocopy of PAN, a letter addressed to the Branch Manager regarding PAN card updation

Necessity to link PAN Card with OBC Bank Account

It is important to link your PAN card with OBC Bank account since you won’t be able to acquire your TDS Certificate if your PAN is not linked to your bank account. Also, you will be charged a certain amount of interest on your deposits if you don’t link your PAN with your OBC Bank Account.
