How to Link PAN Card with Axis Bank Account

Linking Bank Account with your PAN serves many purposes. It is easier for the tax authorities to track your financial transactions and gives additional protection to your PAN card and helps in avoiding identity theft. Linking your PAN card with your bank account is mandatory as per the rules laid down by the Government of India. In case the account-holder hasn't linked their PAN details with their bank account; they'll have to submit the Form-16, which is a self-declaration for non-possession of a PAN card.

There are two methods by which you can link your PAN with Axis bank account:

Online mode of linking PAN with Axis Bank Account

  • Visit the official netbanking page of Axis Bank
  • Login using your User ID and Password
  • Select ‘service requests’
  • Click on ‘PAN card updation’
  • Provide your PAN card number, date of birth and registered email ID
  • Your bank account will be linked with your Axis bank account within 2 working days

Offline linking of PAN details with Axis Bank Account

Or else, you can visit your Axis Bank Home Branch and submit the PAN card updation form/KYC form to the branch manager along with the required documents.

You can visit your Axis home branch and fill up the PAN card updation form in order to link PAN details to your Axis account via offline mode.

Follow these steps to link your PAN card with Axis bank account:

  • Visit your Axis Home Branch- the Axis branch where you opened your bank account
  • Ask for PAN Card Updation Form/KYC Form at the bank
  • Submit the following documents after filling up the KYC form:

KYC/PAN Card Update Form

Photocopy of PAN card which is self-attested

Letter addressed to the Branch Manager requesting the update of PAN Card details in your bank account
