About Daman and Diu

Daman and Diu is a union territory in India. It is the smallest federal division on the Indian subcontinent. They are the two separate and distinctive provinces, bordered by the state of Gujarat and the Arabian Sea. The Gulf of Khambhat separates these two provinces. The area had been a Portuguese colony for a long time. The area has around two hundred thousand residents. Gujarati and Konkani are the widely spoken languages but Hindi and English are also used by the people. The place has many beautiful beaches, ancient churches, buildings and monuments from the Portuguese era that attract tourists from the neighboring areas. Daman and Diu’s festivities are imbibed from Gujarat and Goa.
