If you have purchased insurance policies from the Life Insurance Corporation of India, you can register for the company’s e-Services without having to pay any extra cost. You can register for it on the company’s website www.licindia.in. However, you will be allowed to register only for those policies that you have purchased in your own name and/or in the name of your minor children. Once the kids turn 18 years of age, they will have to register separately using unique user IDs if they wish to continue enjoying the e-services for the policies purchased in their name. Married couples are not be allowed to register in the same account; they will have to register their policies separately and individually. Anyone who has registered themselves on the LIC portal can log in to it using his/her unique user ID and password.

All LIC customers who have purchased LIC policies can log in to the portal. The Home Page of LIC (www.licindia.in) is the platform through which all registered users can log in to the web portal. First-time users will have to fill up a registration form and then choose their user ID and password. The username can contain alphanumeric characters, underscores and dots, and must be between 8-30 characters long. While filling up the form, all the fields marked with an asterisk will have to be filled in compulsorily. Enter a valid email ID so that all further correspondence can be smooth.
You can enroll your policies after successfully completing the registration process by selecting ‘Yes’ when the website prompts ‘Do you have any LIC policies?’ after you hit the submit button for registration. As you select 'Yes,' an online policy enrolment form will be displayed. Enter the policy number along with the name of the policyholder and the premium payment associated with the policy. You can print the form after enrolment.
Those who have purchased multiple LIC policies can add all of the policies to the portal. After successfully registering with the unique user ID and password, enter the policy number as well as the premium amount on the ‘Add Policy’ page. You will receive an email for confirmation. If you have made any mistakes in the submitted policy details, you can change it after receiving the mail. After having successfully registered, you will get access to all information pertaining to the status of your policies, the premiums due, loans, revival details, maturity calendar, policy calendar, etc.
People who are new to the LIC e-service must first register themselves on the LIC portal and create their login credentials. This procedure must be followed for registering:
Visit the official LIC website at www.licindia.in
Go to the ‘Online Services’ box on the left-hand side of the page
Click on ‘Customer Portal’
The website will redirected you to the ‘LIC e-Services’ page
Click on ‘Registration for e-Services’ option under the ‘Functionalities Offered’ section.
Two options will be displayed – ‘Registered User’ and ‘New User’.
Click on ‘New User’
Enter the details required, including the policy number, the date of birth of the policyholder as per the policy document and the installment premium.
Enter your (policyholder's) Email ID and mobile number and check the box that says, ‘I confirm that the mobile number mentioned above is registered under my name and is being used by me’
Click on ‘Proceed’
Agree to the terms and conditions
Select your User ID and Password that will become your login credential for the LIC portal.
You will receive a welcome mail from LIC in your registered email ID to confirm your registration for LIC’s e-services.
Now go to the 'Online Services' option on the homepage and click on ‘LIC’s e-Services’
Since you are already registered on the LIC website now, select ‘Registered User’
Once you are redirected to the login screen, log in using your user id and password.
Now you can access a variety of e-services, such as Basic Services, e-Services, Premier Services, etc.

How to register for a policy on the portal?
After submitting the registration form, a pop-up appears on the screen providing the option to enroll a policy with LIC. Click on the ‘Yes’ button to enroll a policy. Enter the LIC policy number and the name of the life assured/policyholder along with the premium amount.
