To avoid glitches during fund transfers, and for KYC purposes, customers of Kotak Bank should immediately update their personal information with the bank whenever there is a change in their contact details. This can be done by visiting either a Kotak Bank branch or the bank's official website. It is also essential to communicate the right address to the bank so that the customer can receive the mailers sent by the bank.
It can be done in any of the two ways:
Mobile Banking
Go to 'Service Request.'
Select 'Mobile Number Update' from the drop-down list under the 'Profile' section.
Net Banking,
Click on the 'Profile/Update Contact Details' section.
Select Contact Details -> Mobile Number -> Edit
Please note: For your security, services such as one-time fund transfer and online net banking password generation will not be available for seven days after changing the mobile number.
After modifying the mobile number, you can update it again only after seven days of the last update.
The bank will update the mobile number within 24 hours. All bank communication will be sent to the updated mobile number.
You can view and change your email id in the bank records by following these simple steps:
Mobile Banking
Go to the 'Service Request' section.
Select 'Email ID Update' under the 'Profile' section.
Net Banking
Visit the 'Profile/Update Contact Details' section.
Follow the process as shown: Contact Details -> Email ID -> Edit.
Visit the nearest branch and place a request along with the required documents. It will be effectuated within seven working days.
While visiting the bank branch, please carry address proof documents such as passport, driving license, voter's ID, aadhaar card, utility bill, bank statement, bank account passbook (updated and not more than three months old), etc.
