satna is a city in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh that also serves as the Satna districts administrative headquarters. The city derives its name from the nearby Satna river which flows through the Baghelkhand region of the state. According to the Hindu epic Mahabharata, the Haihaya, Kalchuri or Chedi clans were the inhabitants of the region. Satna has a long history of being a part of various princely states. The city sits on a mineral-rich area and is known for dolomite mines and limestone and it contributes around 8% to 9% of the countrys total cement production. There are ten cement factories in Satna and the product is exported to other parts of the country. Satna houses the well-known electrical cable company called Universal Cables. Satna also serves as a major spot for religious tourism including Chitrakoot, Maihar and Bharhut. There are many temples, a Buddhist Stupa and a fort in the vicinity of the area. The city has quite a few good schools and colleges and is currently upgrading itself to become a modern city with all modern facilities. This city is often called the commercial capital of Baghelkhand as it is among the most promising cities of the state. Several new industries have been planned to be set up in this city by some of the most reputed industrial houses in India.
the Prathama Bank is the first regional rural bank in India, sponsored by the Syndicate Bank in Moradabad district Uttar Pradesh on 2 October 1975. Its stocks of Syndicate Bank are listed on Bombay Stock Exchange, National Stock Exchange, and Bangalore Stock Exchange. The Bank did a partnership with UNEP for initiating successful solar loan program. The solar loan program was launched in April 2003 to promote financing of solar home systems in southern India. The 3 RRBs are sponsored by the Syndicate bank presently, and all are making a profit by generating the total business of Rs.42101 crore with 1348 branches as on 31st March 2015. The Syndicate Bank has repositioned its Logo by changing the color combinations, as a part of the brand building exercise. The combinations of Orange, Yellow, Black & White colors make the logo unique. The primary objective of logo repositioning is to provide a more clear understanding of what the organization stands for, earn loyalty from its customers, establishing a brand identity, and also to give the logo a more contemporary look in a continuously changing & dynamic business environment. The bank is hiring approximately 3000 young officers for replacing the officers getting retired. On November 7, 2017, Syndicate Bank created a human chain to spread awareness among the public for fighting with corruption. 14196 financial literacy programmes were organized to promote financial literacy in the villages, during the year 2015, in which 5.74 lakh persons were benefitted. Under PMJDY, the Bank has opened 3496559 number of accounts with a balance of Rs. 505 crore as on 31st March 2015.
