Rohtak is a developing city in the Indian state of Haryana. It is a part of the National Capital Region and also functions as the administrative headquarter of the Rohtak district. The ancient Vedas record the name of this city as Rohtashgarh, which, over a period of time, got modified to its modern name. The city is dotted with ancient ruins that are considered to be from the Indus Valley Civilization. The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation or HSIIDC has developed an Industrial Model Township at Rohtak which houses multiple MNCs like Maruti Suzuki, Asian Paints, Coca-Cola Plant, Nippon Carbide, Super Gas, Suzuki Motorcycle, HITech Plast, Lotte India Corporation Limited, Amul Dairy, Shivam Autotech Ltd., Vita Milk Plant, etc. The city is being strategically developed so that it is selected as a smart city in the future with new residential areas, a healthy environment, and well-maintained roads. A few areas of tourist interest in and around Rohtak are Gurudwara Manji Sahib Lakhan Majra, Rohtak Zoo and Tilyar Lake.
the Prathama Bank is the first regional rural bank in India, sponsored by the Syndicate Bank in Moradabad district Uttar Pradesh on 2 October 1975. Its stocks of Syndicate Bank are listed on Bombay Stock Exchange, National Stock Exchange, and Bangalore Stock Exchange. The Bank did a partnership with UNEP for initiating successful solar loan program. The solar loan program was launched in April 2003 to promote financing of solar home systems in southern India. The 3 RRBs are sponsored by the Syndicate bank presently, and all are making a profit by generating the total business of Rs.42101 crore with 1348 branches as on 31st March 2015. The Syndicate Bank has repositioned its Logo by changing the color combinations, as a part of the brand building exercise. The combinations of Orange, Yellow, Black & White colors make the logo unique. The primary objective of logo repositioning is to provide a more clear understanding of what the organization stands for, earn loyalty from its customers, establishing a brand identity, and also to give the logo a more contemporary look in a continuously changing & dynamic business environment. The bank is hiring approximately 3000 young officers for replacing the officers getting retired. On November 7, 2017, Syndicate Bank created a human chain to spread awareness among the public for fighting with corruption. 14196 financial literacy programmes were organized to promote financial literacy in the villages, during the year 2015, in which 5.74 lakh persons were benefitted. Under PMJDY, the Bank has opened 3496559 number of accounts with a balance of Rs. 505 crore as on 31st March 2015.
