The Indian city of Ratlam is located in the Malwa region in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The city was created soon after the Indian independence and it functions as the administrative headquarters of the Ratlam district. The city was founded by a descendant of Raja Udai Singh of Jodhpur, in the year 1652. Ratlam is known for its love of food - especially the world-famous salty snack called the Ratlami Sev. The city is also known for its purity of gold jewelry and its saree market. The Ratlami Sev is exported to foreign countries including the US and the Gulf. These three considerably contribute to the citys economic growth. Ratlam also has several industries manufacturing copper wire, plastic ropes, artificial oxygen and chemicals. The city also has a thriving market for traditional Rajasthani as well as Gujarati handwork and kitchen wares. Ratlam has quite a few good schools and colleges, but the government is establishing more educational institutions to offer a variety of courses to the young talents of Ratlam. The most famous Jain pilgrimages - Shri Nageshwar Parshwanath Tirth and Bibrod Tirth are located in Ratlam. The city also has other places of tourist attraction such as Kalika Mata Temple, Isarthuni, Bilpank Mahadev Temple, Satrunda Mataji Temple, Kedareshwar Temple, Cactus Garden, Hussain Tekri, etc.
the Prathama Bank is the first regional rural bank in India, sponsored by the Syndicate Bank in Moradabad district Uttar Pradesh on 2 October 1975. Its stocks of Syndicate Bank are listed on Bombay Stock Exchange, National Stock Exchange, and Bangalore Stock Exchange. The Bank did a partnership with UNEP for initiating successful solar loan program. The solar loan program was launched in April 2003 to promote financing of solar home systems in southern India. The 3 RRBs are sponsored by the Syndicate bank presently, and all are making a profit by generating the total business of Rs.42101 crore with 1348 branches as on 31st March 2015. The Syndicate Bank has repositioned its Logo by changing the color combinations, as a part of the brand building exercise. The combinations of Orange, Yellow, Black & White colors make the logo unique. The primary objective of logo repositioning is to provide a more clear understanding of what the organization stands for, earn loyalty from its customers, establishing a brand identity, and also to give the logo a more contemporary look in a continuously changing & dynamic business environment. The bank is hiring approximately 3000 young officers for replacing the officers getting retired. On November 7, 2017, Syndicate Bank created a human chain to spread awareness among the public for fighting with corruption. 14196 financial literacy programmes were organized to promote financial literacy in the villages, during the year 2015, in which 5.74 lakh persons were benefitted. Under PMJDY, the Bank has opened 3496559 number of accounts with a balance of Rs. 505 crore as on 31st March 2015.
