Parbhani is a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It functions as the administrative headquarters of Parbhani District situated in the Marathwada region of the state. Parbhani was earlier a part of the Nizam State and was later passed on to the Hyderabad State. When the Indian states were reorganized in 1956, Parbhani became a part of the then Bombay state. It was included within the boundaries of Maharashtra in 1960. The famous Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agricultural University is located in Parbhani. In ancient times, the city was known by the name "Prabhavati Nagari," named after a massive temple of Goddess Prabhavati in the area. The present name of the city is a distorted form of Prabhavati. Parbhani has around 3 lakh residents and has been recognized as one of the cleanest cities in Maharashtra. Parbhani is located in the Godavari Valley, and hence the citys soil is very fertile as well as rich in nutrients. The economy of Parbhani is largely fuelled by agriculture and agribusiness. Parbhani is well connected to the neighboring areas and also offers all modern amenities to its residents. An annual festival is organized at Hazrat Turabul Haq Dargah in Parbhani, which attracts lakhs of tourists each year.
the Prathama Bank is the first regional rural bank in India, sponsored by the Syndicate Bank in Moradabad district Uttar Pradesh on 2 October 1975. Its stocks of Syndicate Bank are listed on Bombay Stock Exchange, National Stock Exchange, and Bangalore Stock Exchange. The Bank did a partnership with UNEP for initiating successful solar loan program. The solar loan program was launched in April 2003 to promote financing of solar home systems in southern India. The 3 RRBs are sponsored by the Syndicate bank presently, and all are making a profit by generating the total business of Rs.42101 crore with 1348 branches as on 31st March 2015. The Syndicate Bank has repositioned its Logo by changing the color combinations, as a part of the brand building exercise. The combinations of Orange, Yellow, Black & White colors make the logo unique. The primary objective of logo repositioning is to provide a more clear understanding of what the organization stands for, earn loyalty from its customers, establishing a brand identity, and also to give the logo a more contemporary look in a continuously changing & dynamic business environment. The bank is hiring approximately 3000 young officers for replacing the officers getting retired. On November 7, 2017, Syndicate Bank created a human chain to spread awareness among the public for fighting with corruption. 14196 financial literacy programmes were organized to promote financial literacy in the villages, during the year 2015, in which 5.74 lakh persons were benefitted. Under PMJDY, the Bank has opened 3496559 number of accounts with a balance of Rs. 505 crore as on 31st March 2015.
