NOIDA is the acronym of the "New Okhla Industrial Development Authority." It is a highly organized and meticulously planned city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is an integral part of the National Capital Region and serves as a satellite city to New Delhi. Noida is situated close to south-east Delhi. This planned city has industrial as well as residential areas. It is divided into various sectors to demarcate the residential, industrial and commercial areas. Noida is an established IT hub and hosts the offices of many big companies, large MNCs as well as a few public sector units like NTPC, IOC, BHEL, GAIL, etc. Noida has also developed into a prominent spot for the Indian entertainment industry. Many films, television series, news programs and other media are being filmed here. Several news channels and newspapers are based out of this city. Noida has had high commercial development, especially in the shopping area in sector 18 which has several huge malls like the Great India Place. There are many educational institutions in Noida. the Prathama Bank is the first regional rural bank in India, sponsored by the Syndicate Bank in Moradabad district Uttar Pradesh on 2 October 1975. Its stocks of Syndicate Bank are listed on Bombay Stock Exchange, National Stock Exchange, and Bangalore Stock Exchange. The Bank did a partnership with UNEP for initiating successful solar loan program. The solar loan program was launched in April 2003 to promote financing of solar home systems in southern India. The 3 RRBs are sponsored by the Syndicate bank presently, and all are making a profit by generating the total business of Rs.42101 crore with 1348 branches as on 31st March 2015. The Syndicate Bank has repositioned its Logo by changing the color combinations, as a part of the brand building exercise. The combinations of Orange, Yellow, Black & White colors make the logo unique. The primary objective of logo repositioning is to provide a more clear understanding of what the organization stands for, earn loyalty from its customers, establishing a brand identity, and also to give the logo a more contemporary look in a continuously changing & dynamic business environment. The bank is hiring approximately 3000 young officers for replacing the officers getting retired. On November 7, 2017, Syndicate Bank created a human chain to spread awareness among the public for fighting with corruption. 14196 financial literacy programmes were organized to promote financial literacy in the villages, during the year 2015, in which 5.74 lakh persons were benefitted. Under PMJDY, the Bank has opened 3496559 number of accounts with a balance of Rs. 505 crore as on 31st March 2015.
