Gwalior is a city in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It is also the largest city in the state. It is rapidly developing into a smart city. The city is the administrative headquarter of the Gwalior District, divided into 60 wards for administrative purposes. One of the main concerns of this city is its pollution levels as it has the highest levels of air pollution among all Indian cities. The economy of Gwalior is boosted by trade, market hubs and agriculture. Wheat, jowar, paddy, and pulses are the chief crops cultivated in the area. There are many sandstone quarries in and around the city. Three major industrial areas in the vicinity of the city add to the citys economic growth. The industrial belts at Sitholi, Banmore and Malanpur mainly focus on dairy, chemical and textiles. The city is known for educational institutes like the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management and the ITM University. Gwalior serves as the tourism capital of Madhya Pradesh. The dramatic and dominant Gwalior Fort located atop a hill is the main attraction of this city. People from all over the country visit Gwalior to explore this beautiful fort as well as for other attractions like the Scindia museum, Saas-bahu temple, Gwalior temple, Jaivilas Mahal, Man Singh Palace, Madhav national park, Jain Rock Sculptures, etc. Gwalior is famous for its old marketplaces. The Maharaj Bada, Ghas Mandi, Loha Mandi and Hazira are centuries old marketplaces with ancient buildings displaying different styles of architecture that still remain in the city, contrasting the modern shopping malls that have recently come up.
the Prathama Bank is the first regional rural bank in India, sponsored by the Syndicate Bank in Moradabad district Uttar Pradesh on 2 October 1975. Its stocks of Syndicate Bank are listed on Bombay Stock Exchange, National Stock Exchange, and Bangalore Stock Exchange. The Bank did a partnership with UNEP for initiating successful solar loan program. The solar loan program was launched in April 2003 to promote financing of solar home systems in southern India. The 3 RRBs are sponsored by the Syndicate bank presently, and all are making a profit by generating the total business of Rs.42101 crore with 1348 branches as on 31st March 2015. The Syndicate Bank has repositioned its Logo by changing the color combinations, as a part of the brand building exercise. The combinations of Orange, Yellow, Black & White colors make the logo unique. The primary objective of logo repositioning is to provide a more clear understanding of what the organization stands for, earn loyalty from its customers, establishing a brand identity, and also to give the logo a more contemporary look in a continuously changing & dynamic business environment. The bank is hiring approximately 3000 young officers for replacing the officers getting retired. On November 7, 2017, Syndicate Bank created a human chain to spread awareness among the public for fighting with corruption. 14196 financial literacy programmes were organized to promote financial literacy in the villages, during the year 2015, in which 5.74 lakh persons were benefitted. Under PMJDY, the Bank has opened 3496559 number of accounts with a balance of Rs. 505 crore as on 31st March 2015.
