Officially known as the NCT or the National Capital Territory, Delhi is a union territory and also the capital city and of India. Hence, it is the center of the National Capital Region (NCR). Although it is a union territory, the administration of Delhi closely resembles that of any Indian state as it has its own high court, legislature and an executive council headed by a Chief Minister. Delhi gives a tough competition to Mumbai in terms of population and wealth. It is the second wealthiest city in India, closely following Mumbai. It is also a tourism hub for its famous ancient historical relics. Heritage sites like the Qutub Minar, Humayun?s Tomb, Jama Masjid are hotspots for active tourism. Moreover, Delhi connects travelers to exciting destinations in the northern Himalayan Mountains. The city experiences a sub-tropical semi-arid climate ? the summer and winter months starkly contrast each other and are marked by temperatures at extreme ends. The city has an excellent infrastructure in terms of transport and connectivity. However, the pollution levels in the city have reached alarming levels of late. The people of Delhi, commonly known as ?Delhiites,? lovingly call their city ?Dilli? according to the Hindi pronunciation. Home to people from different parts of India, Delhi is indeed a melting pot of various cultures.
the Prathama Bank is the first regional rural bank in India, sponsored by the Syndicate Bank in Moradabad district Uttar Pradesh on 2 October 1975. Its stocks of Syndicate Bank are listed on Bombay Stock Exchange, National Stock Exchange, and Bangalore Stock Exchange. The Bank did a partnership with UNEP for initiating successful solar loan program. The solar loan program was launched in April 2003 to promote financing of solar home systems in southern India. The 3 RRBs are sponsored by the Syndicate bank presently, and all are making a profit by generating the total business of Rs.42101 crore with 1348 branches as on 31st March 2015. The Syndicate Bank has repositioned its Logo by changing the color combinations, as a part of the brand building exercise. The combinations of Orange, Yellow, Black & White colors make the logo unique. The primary objective of logo repositioning is to provide a more clear understanding of what the organization stands for, earn loyalty from its customers, establishing a brand identity, and also to give the logo a more contemporary look in a continuously changing & dynamic business environment. The bank is hiring approximately 3000 young officers for replacing the officers getting retired. On November 7, 2017, Syndicate Bank created a human chain to spread awareness among the public for fighting with corruption. 14196 financial literacy programmes were organized to promote financial literacy in the villages, during the year 2015, in which 5.74 lakh persons were benefitted. Under PMJDY, the Bank has opened 3496559 number of accounts with a balance of Rs. 505 crore as on 31st March 2015.
