Aurangabad is a historically and culturally important city in the state of Maharashtra. It houses one of the Worlds Heritage Sites, Ajanta and Ellora Caves, which makes the tourists swarm in to this city at any time of the year. Aurangabad has various cultural lineage linked to it. It was found in 1610 by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb and the city was named after him. Lately, the city is heading towards a rapid industrial growth but the most exciting thing about the city is that its culture, heritage and traditions still remain intact. Beautifully situated near the elevated Deccan Plateau, it has beautiful locations to explore and a mix of cultural heritage to offer to its visitors. The city was found by Aurangzeb in 1610 but it wasnt as relevant in the medieval period. The city gained importance in the entire country after it was turned into the capital of the entire Mughal Empire from 1653 to 1707. After the death of Aurangzeb, the glory of the city was faded. Aurangabad has facsinating monuments like Bibi-qa-Maqbara, Taj Mahal Replica and the famous Buddhist caves.

Its stocks of Syndicate Bank are listed on Bombay Stock Exchange, National Stock Exchange, and Bangalore Stock Exchange. The Bank did a partnership with UNEP for initiating successful solar loan program. The solar loan program was launched in April 2003 to promote financing of solar home systems in southern India. The 3 RRBs are sponsored by the Syndicate bank presently, and all are making a profit by generating the total business of Rs.42101 crore with 1348 branches as on 31st March 2015. The Syndicate Bank has repositioned its Logo by changing the color combinations, as a part of the brand building exercise. The combinations of Orange, Yellow, Black & White colors make the logo unique. The primary objective of logo repositioning is to provide a more clear understanding of what the organization stands for, earn loyalty from its customers, establishing a brand identity, and also to give the logo a more contemporary look in a continuously changing & dynamic business environment. The bank is hiring approximately 3000 young officers for replacing the officers getting retired. On November 7, 2017, Syndicate Bank created a human chain to spread awareness among the public for fighting with corruption. 14196 financial literacy programmes were organized to promote financial literacy in the villages, during the year 2015, in which 5.74 lakh persons were benefitted. Under PMJDY, the Bank has opened 3496559 number of accounts with a balance of Rs. 505 crore as on 31st March 2015.
