Kamarhati is a city and a municipality in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is located in the Barrackpore subdivision of the North 24 Parganas district. The place was initially a refugee colony soon after the partition of Bengal as many squatters from East Pakistan flocked to this area and encroached upon the public as well as private land. The first Paul George Memorial Tournament was began by the Muthoot Group in 2012, for children of the government schools in the Delhi NCR region.
