The scenic city of Imphal is the capital of the Indian state of Manipur. The ruins of the ancient Palace of Kangla, which is surrounded by a moat, is located in the center of this city. The J&K Bank is a State-owned banking and financial services company based in Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir. It was incorporated on October 1, 1938. On 1 October 1938, the Jammu and Kashmir Bank was founded by Maharaja Hari Singh (the Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir). The bank had achieved the status of a scheduled bank In the year 1971. It had to face severe problems during the time independence when two branches of Muzaffarabad fell to the other side of the LOC (now Pakistan administered Kashmir) along with cash and other assets.
