Coimbatore is situated in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is the second largest city in the state, after Chennai. Coimbatore is one of the largest producers of cotton and it is famous for its textile industry. The city has played an essential role in the Indian independence and has gained popularity after independence. The J&K Bank is a State-owned banking and financial services company based in Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir. It was incorporated on October 1, 1938. On 1 October 1938, the Jammu and Kashmir Bank was founded by Maharaja Hari Singh (the Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir). The bank had achieved the status of a scheduled bank In the year 1971. It had to face severe problems during the time independence when two branches of Muzaffarabad fell to the other side of the LOC (now Pakistan administered Kashmir) along with cash and other assets.
