Nagpur is a sprawling metropolis in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is considered to be the winter capital of the state as the winter session of the Maharashtra State Assembly is held in Nagpur every year. It is not only the third largest city in Maharashtra but is also an important political and commercial center of the state. It is sometimes referred to as the Orange City for the famous Nagpur oranges that are cultivated in the city and traded extensively. Nagpur has tropical savannah climate which has predominantly dry weather prevailing throughout the year, with a bit of rainfall in June and July. Being one of the cleanest Indian cities, Nagpur offers great perks to its residents in terms of livability, health-care, greenery and public transport. Nagpur provides a base for the Indian armed forces. The 118th infantry battalion of the Indian Army is at Sitabuli fort in Nagpur. The Maintenance Command of Indian Air Force is also currently headquartered at Vayusena Nagar in Nagpur. A few of India?s pre-eminent education institutes like IIM, NIT, AIIMS, etc. have their branches in Nagpur. Although Nagpur is not exactly a tourist destination, there are several forests, tiger rivers and Buddhist stupas in and around the city that are worth visiting.
the Prathama Bank is the first regional rural bank in India, sponsored by the Syndicate Bank in Moradabad district Uttar Pradesh on 2 October 1975. Its stocks of Syndicate Bank are listed on Bombay Stock Exchange, National Stock Exchange, and Bangalore Stock Exchange. The Bank did a partnership with UNEP for initiating successful solar loan program. The solar loan program was launched in April 2003 to promote financing of solar home systems in southern India. The 3 RRBs are sponsored by the Syndicate bank presently, and all are making a profit by generating the total business of Rs.42101 crore with 1348 branches as on 31st March 2015. The Syndicate Bank has repositioned its Logo by changing the color combinations, as a part of the brand building exercise. The combinations of Orange, Yellow, Black & White colors make the logo unique. The primary objective of logo repositioning is to provide a more clear understanding of what the organization stands for, earn loyalty from its customers, establishing a brand identity, and also to give the logo a more contemporary look in a continuously changing & dynamic business environment. The bank is hiring approximately 3000 young officers for replacing the officers getting retired. On November 7, 2017, Syndicate Bank created a human chain to spread awareness among the public for fighting with corruption. 14196 financial literacy programmes were organized to promote financial literacy in the villages, during the year 2015, in which 5.74 lakh persons were benefitted. Under PMJDY, the Bank has opened 3496559 number of accounts with a balance of Rs. 505 crore as on 31st March 2015.
