Bharatpur is a city as well as a municipal corporation in the Braj region in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Bharatpur is located 180 kilometers away from Delhi and it is a part of the National Capital Region. The Bharatpur Municipal Corporation is divided into 50 wards for civic governance. Bharatpur also functions as the administrative headquarters of the Bharatpur District and the Bharatpur Division of Rajasthan. The city is also known as the "Eastern Gateway to Rajasthan" and also by the name of "Lohagarh" at times. It is famous for Keoladeo National Park which is UNESCOs World Heritage Site. The Lohagarh Fort in Bharatpur is a major spot of tourist attraction. Bharatpur attracts a large number of national as well as international tourists every year. The region hosts communities like the Jats, Ahirs, Yadavs, Brahmins, Rajputs, Vaishyas and Gujjars. The city is rich in its culture and heritage. It hosts several reputed educational institutions such as the Government Engineering College, Chandravati Group of Institutions, etc. The economy of Bharatpur is largely dependent upon agriculture and agricultural products. The main crops that are grown in Bharatpur are wheat, mustard, cotton, potatoes and red chilies. There are over 60 oil mills in the city mainly because of the mass production of mustard in the surrounding areas. Stone quarrying is also practiced in a few areas.

Its stocks of Syndicate Bank are listed on Bombay Stock Exchange, National Stock Exchange, and Bangalore Stock Exchange. The Bank did a partnership with UNEP for initiating successful solar loan program. The solar loan program was launched in April 2003 to promote financing of solar home systems in southern India. The 3 RRBs are sponsored by the Syndicate bank presently, and all are making a profit by generating the total business of Rs.42101 crore with 1348 branches as on 31st March 2015. The Syndicate Bank has repositioned its Logo by changing the color combinations, as a part of the brand building exercise. The combinations of Orange, Yellow, Black & White colors make the logo unique. The primary objective of logo repositioning is to provide a more clear understanding of what the organization stands for, earn loyalty from its customers, establishing a brand identity, and also to give the logo a more contemporary look in a continuously changing & dynamic business environment. The bank is hiring approximately 3000 young officers for replacing the officers getting retired. On November 7, 2017, Syndicate Bank created a human chain to spread awareness among the public for fighting with corruption. 14196 financial literacy programmes were organized to promote financial literacy in the villages, during the year 2015, in which 5.74 lakh persons were benefitted. Under PMJDY, the Bank has opened 3496559 number of accounts with a balance of Rs. 505 crore as on 31st March 2015.
