Barasat is a neighborhood in Kolkata, situated in the Indian state of West Bengal. It functions as the headquarters of the North 24 Parganas district as well as the Barasat Sadar subdivision. The Federal Bank Limited based in Kochi, Kerala is a major private sector commercial bank. The Federal Bank had 1252 branches and 1680 ATMs across the country, as on 31 March 2016. Anyone having an Aadhaar Card and PAN Card, can open a Savings Bank Account and get their Account Number instantly using a mobile from anywhere through the new avatar of Fedbook. In August 2016, Lotza, the Unified Payment Interface app was launched by the Federal Bank.
