Gopalpur is a census town in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is situated in the Ranaghat subdivision of the Nadia district. The town lies towards the east of Hooghly River, with rich and fertile alluvial plains. Mostly an agricultural city, the economy of Gopalpur is driven by the cultivation of food crops as well as cash crops.
