Ramagundam is the most populous city in the Peddapalli district of the Indian state of Telangana. The city obtains its name from the combination of two words - Rama refers to the Hindu God, Lord Rama; Gundam means "water springs." Along with this various digital products are also introduced by HDFC such as Payzapp and Chillr. The HDFC Bank merged with Times Bank in February 2000. In the new-generation private sector banks category, it was the first merger of two private banks. HDFC Bank acquired Centurion Bank in 2008 approved by the HDFC Bank Board for 95.1 billion INR as one of the most significant mergers in the financial sector in India.
