Amaravati is the defacto or Peoples capital of Andhra Pradesh with a vision of increasing the overall prominence of the state, especially after the split from Telangana State. The Bandhan Bank get listed on the Bombay stock exchange. On 23rd August 2015, the Bandhan bank was launched by the Union Minister of Finance, Shri Arun Jaitley Ji in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. After a year, the first-anniversary celebration of Bandhan Bank was attended by the President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee.
