Ambattur is situated in the Ambattur taluk near Chennai, in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is a fast developing city that hosts residential localities as well as manufacturing units. Ambattur was earlier a village with large expanses of agricultural farmlands irrigated by the Ambattur Lake. The Bandhan Bank get listed on the Bombay stock exchange. On 23rd August 2015, the Bandhan bank was launched by the Union Minister of Finance, Shri Arun Jaitley Ji in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. After a year, the first-anniversary celebration of Bandhan Bank was attended by the President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee.
