With an aim to support the Go Green initiative, HDFC Bank started sending the Personal Identification Number (PIN) for ATM/debit cardholders through SMS rather than sending the physical copy by post. The customer receives a One Time Password (OTP) on his/her mobile number that is registered with the bank within 48 hours of applying for it. Using this OTP, the customer can generate a PIN at any HDFC ATM.

Click on the 'Cards' tab and select the 'Debit Cards.'
Under the 'Request' tab, select the 'Instant Pin Generation.'
Select your debit card number.
Now, set a new 4-digit debit card PIN and confirm.
