HDFC Bank Credit Card Bill Payment

HDFC offers a high degree of flexibility when it comes to credit card bill payment. There are a lot of online as well as offline methods that are available for the customers. You can simply opt for any of the methods as per your convenience.

The methods are available for both HDFC and Non-HDFC account holders. Let us learn about the different modes of payment in detail.

For HDFC Account Holders

Online Method

Here is a list of the different online methods available for HDFC account holders.

Net Banking

You can use the internet banking/net banking facility to pay your credit card dues. However, to pay dues online, you must link your HDFC credit card to your net banking account. After registering the credit card details, follow the steps mentioned below to make the payment:

  • Log in to your internet banking account.

  • Select 'Cards' on the top, and you will be able to view all your registered cards.

  • On the left side, under the 'Credit Card' tab, click on 'Transact'.

  • Choose 'Credit Card Payment.'

  • Click on 'Select Card Payment Type,' then select your card and click on 'Continue.'

  • Select 'From account' and the credit card number.

  • Now choose one from Last Statement Balance, Minimum Amount Due, or Other Amount.

  • Click on continue and confirm.

  • Your payment will be done.

Mobile Banking Application

Customers can use the HDFC mobile banking facility to pay HDFC credit card bills. However, linking the HDFC credit card to the registered mobile banking application is a must. After registering the credit card details, the steps mentioned below should be followed to make the payment:

  • Download the HDFC Mobile Banking application.

  • Register and Log into your account.

  • Select 'Menu' and then choose the 'Pay' option.

  • Select 'Cards,' and you can see the registered credit and debit cards.

  • Choose on the desired credit card to make the payment.

  • Here you will get the ‘Pay' option.

  • Click on it and complete the payment.

Autopay Option

Online Method

Autopay option is made available to all HDFC customers. You can set an instruction to auto-debit the credit card outstanding dues from your HDFC savings account. By opting for this, you can pay the minimum amount or the total due on your card every month. Here are the steps to avail the autopay facility.

  • Log in to your net banking account.

  • In the cards section, you can view your registered credit cards.

  • On the left side of the screen, under the credit cards section, click on 'Request' and then 'Autopay Register.'

  • Next, you must select the details.

  • Select 'Continue' and then click on 'Confirm.'

  • An acknowledgment message will pop up on the screen.

Offline Method

Download the autopay request form from www.hdfcbank.com/assets/pdf/autopay_form.pdf. Fill the form and send it to the address mentioned below:

The facility will be activated within seven days from the date of receipt of your application form.

Visa Money Transfer

This method is useful for the payment of Visa credit cards only. Follow these steps to pay through Visa Money Transfer.

  • Log in to your net banking account.

  • Select 'Fund Transfer,' and then choose the 'Transact' option.

  • Click on 'Visa CardPay.'

  • Enter the required details and click on 'Continue.'

  • Your transaction will be done.

Paytm

Follow these steps to pay your HDFC credit card bill through Paytm:

  • Visit the Paytm website.

  • Go to the credit card payments section.

  • Enter your HDFC credit card number and click on proceed.

  • Now select the method of payment between BHIM UPI and Net Banking.

  • Select 'Pay now.'

  • Enter the required payment details and your transaction will be done.

BHIM/UPI app

Pay your HDFC credit card dues through the BHIM/UPI application. Download the app on your smartphone and create your BHIM/UPI ID. Now, follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Log in to the Mobile Banking App.

  • Click on ‘Account.’

  • Select ‘BHIM/UPI’ and then click on ‘Pay.’

  • You can also pay using your credit card account number & IFSC.

  • Enter the transaction amount and the description.

  • Click on 'PAY' to send.

Offline Methods

If you are not comfortable with paying your dues online, there are certain offline methods too. Here is the list of the offline modes of payment.

Transfer through ATM

  • Walk into a nearby HDFC Bank ATM, insert your debit card and select 'Credit Card Payment.'

  • Enter the required details and complete the payment.

  • The amount can be paid either from your savings or current account.

  • If you opt for this payment method, you will be charged Rs.100 per transaction as cash processing fees.

Counter Payments

Go to a nearby HDFC bank branch and pay your bill in the counter. A processing fee of Rs. 100 is charged in this mode of payment.

Cheque payments

Issue a cheque in the name of "HDFC Bank Credit Card." You can drop the cheque at any drop box in any of the HDFC Bank branches or ATMs. The amount gets credited within three working days to your credit card account.

For Non-HDFC Bank Account Holders

Online Method

HDFC Bank offers a lot of payment methods to Non-HDFC Bank account holders also. Let us learn all the methods in detail.

Net Banking

Net Banking facility is provided to pay your HDFC credit card bill using your non-HDFC Bank savings account. But to pay using the net banking method, you must register your credit card for net banking. Follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Log in to your net banking account.

  • Go to the cards section and select the option of adding a new credit card.

  • Complete the process by entering the details of your HDFC credit card.

  • Once the card is registered, you can pay the outstanding dues on it from your savings account.

Mobile Banking Application

HDFC credit card dues can be paid using other banks’ Mobile Banking Applications. Register your credit card in your applications, and you are good to go. Follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Log in to your mobile banking app.

  • Under the 'Cards' section, select ‘credit cards.’

  • Select your desired HDFC credit card.

  • Choose the payment method and complete the payment.

Bill Desk

Use Bill Desk if you don't have your HDFC credit card added to your bank net banking. Follow the steps to pay your HDFC credit card bill through Bill Desk:

  • Visit Bill Desk.

  • Enter your credit card number, email ID, and the transaction amount in the designated fields.

  • Select the savings account from which the payment must be made.

  • Click on 'PAY' and to complete the transaction.

Autopay facility

  • You can provide a standing instruction to your bank for the auto debit option. You can choose to pay either total or minimum amount due every month.

  • To register for the Autopay facility, contact the customer care of your savings bank.

NEFT

Use your net banking/mobile banking app to pay your HDFC credit card bill through NEFT.

  • Log in to the net banking/mobile banking account.

  • Go to 'Funds transfer' and select NEFT.

  • Initiate the payment by entering your credit card details.

  • To pay your credit card dues through NEFT, use the IFSC Code HDFC0000128.

Using the Visa Money Transfer

Visa Money Transfer is used only to pay Visa credit cards dues. Follow these steps to transfer money using the Visa Money Transfer:

  • Log into your HDFC account.

  • Go to 'Fund Transfer,' and then choose 'Transact.'

  • Click on 'Visa CardPay.'

  • Enter the required details and click on 'Continue.'

  • You will be prompted to initiate and execute the transaction.

Paytm

Follow these steps to pay your HDFC credit card bill through Paytm:

  • Visit https://paytm.com/credit-card-bill-payment.

  • Under the credit card bill payment option, select HDFC credit card and enter the details. Now, click on proceed.

  • Select the method of payment between BHIM UPI and Net Banking.

  • Click on 'Pay now.'

  • Enter the payment details required and complete the payment.

BHIM/UPI app

Pay your HDFC credit card dues through the BHIM/UP app, download the BHIM app on your smartphone and create your BHIM/UPI ID. Now, follow these steps:

  • Click the BHIM/UPI icon located on the bottom left of the Mobile Banking application screen.

  • Enter your 6-digit PIN and click on ‘Pay.’

  • Select ‘pay via BHIM/UPI ID.’

  • Enter the PIN and complete the process.

  • Note that this process is only for Android users.

RTGS

For payment through RTGS, you must add your HDFC credit card as a beneficiary. You must enable both the Net Banking and Third-Party Funds Transfer facilities. Now, follow these steps:

  • In the ‘Funds Transfer’ tab, click on 'Transfer to other banks (RTGS).'

  • Choose your card account and enter the required details.

  • Accept the Terms and Conditions.

  • Go through the details and click on 'confirm' to complete the process.

Offline Method

The methods are the same for both HDFC and Non-HDFC account holders.

How long will it take for the transacted amount to reflect in my credit card account?

It entirely depends on the method of payment you choose. Mostly, it takes around 2-3 working days for most of the payments.

Can I pay HDFC credit card bill using my debit card?

Yes, you can pay your HDFC credit card dues using your debit card. You can go through the methods that are mentioned above.

How to check my credit card outstanding amount through net banking?

If you have registered your credit card on your HDFC net banking, log in and select 'Cards.' Go to the Credit Cards tab, click on 'Enquire,' 'Account Information,' and then choose your card.

Is it alright if I pay only the minimum amount due using the methods mentioned here?
