Aadhaar linking is mandatory with all financial institutions and other important documents to avail the benefits of government schemes. Under the jurisdiction of Prevention of Money Laundering Rules, 2017 (Second Amendment Rules), IRDAI has instructed all the life and general insurance providers for helping their customers in linking aadhaar with life insurance policies.
HDFC has also come up with the provision of seeding Aadhaar information with HDFC Life Insurance online.
Online Method of Linking Aadhaar with HDFC Life Insurance Policy:
- Visit the HDFC Life Insurance website
- Enter your policy number, Aadhaar and PAN details.
- Accept the terms and conditions by ticking the checkbox.
- Submit the details by clicking on ‘submit’ button.
- Your PAN and Aadhaar details will be linked to the policy held under Client ID.
